Parklands is dense, newer development with compact stands and compact pools. Kwik Pools services Parklands and Parklands North on the standing Blouberg route.
Almost everything here was built in the last twenty five years, so the pools are young, mostly small and mostly rectangular. That is good news on running cost: less water to heat, less chemical, quicker to clean. It also means the equipment was often chosen to hit a build price rather than to suit the pool.
The pattern we see is an undersized pump or a budget chlorinator cell that copes fine for two summers and then struggles through the third. It rarely fails in winter when nobody would mind. It fails in January.
The other Parklands factor is proximity to the coast without the shelter. You get a good share of the wind and airborne sand that Table View gets, and on a small pool that load is proportionally heavier. Small pools respond very well here to a cover and a properly set timer, and both cost less than most people assume.
