Building a pool is the one garden decision you cannot easily undo, so it is worth getting the position, the size and the plant right the first time. Kwik Pools designs and builds new pools across greater Cape Town, concrete and gunite as well as precast shells.
We start with the site rather than the brochure. Where the sun sits in February, where the wind comes from, where the plant room can go without it becoming a noise problem, and whether we can physically get machinery in.
You get a written scope, a realistic programme and one point of contact for the whole build.
Cape Town sites throw up the same handful of problems. Sloping erven through the Southern Suburbs and City Bowl need retaining and level changes designed in early. Sandy ground on the Cape Flats and out at Blouberg behaves differently again. High winter water tables in the low lying areas dictate how and when we work. We would rather raise all of that at quoting stage than discover it with a machine on site.
Running the plumbing and conduit for heating, lighting, a salt chlorinator or an automatic cover during the build costs a fraction of retrofitting later. Decide now even if you fit the equipment in a year or two.

If you have an existing pool that has simply aged badly, a renovation is almost always cheaper than a new build and the result looks new. We will tell you honestly which one your property calls for.
