Camps Bay has more short term rental pools than almost anywhere in the country, and they have to be right on changeover day every time. Kwik Pools services private homes, villas and complexes across the area.
The rental cycle drives everything. A pool that is cloudy on arrival day is a complaint, a review and sometimes a refund, so the work here is about reliability rather than heroics. Scheduled visits timed to changeovers, water tested and balanced rather than eyeballed, and problems flagged before they become visible.
The environment does not help. Salt spray corrodes plant, the wind coming down off the mountain strips heat and drops debris, and the terrain means terraced pools and awkward access on many properties.
For managing agents we work the way the rest of the operation does: fixed schedule, photo report after each visit, and a clear line on what we fix immediately versus what needs an owner decision. It is unglamorous and it is exactly why the pool never ends up in a review.
