Goodwood is older, established and full of compact gardens with pools that have been in place a long time. Kwik Pools services Goodwood, Vasco and the surrounding streets from our Plattekloof base.
Pools here tend to be smaller and closer to the house than in the newer northern suburbs, and a lot of them are old. Original marbelite, original plumbing and a pump housing squeezed into a corner that was never designed for maintenance access. It makes for interesting repair work and it means we check access before quoting anything that involves plant replacement.
The upside of a smaller pool is that everything about it is cheaper. Less chemical, less power, faster to clean and genuinely affordable to heat with a properly sized heat pump and a cover, which is not true of the big pools further north.
Older compact pools reward small, well chosen upgrades. A modern variable speed pump, an LED light instead of a power hungry halogen and a decent cover will change what a Goodwood pool costs to run without touching the shell at all. We would rather point you at that than sell you a renovation you do not need.
