Pool Inspections In Cape Town

A pool can look perfect and still be hiding a leaking shell, a dying pump or plumbing that was patched twenty years ago. Kwik Pools does independent pool inspections across Cape Town so you know exactly what you are buying, selling or already own.

Most of our inspections are for people buying a house. The pool is rarely mentioned in the offer, and it is one of the few things on a property that can quietly cost you fifty or a hundred thousand rand after transfer. An inspection before you sign turns that into a number you can negotiate with.

We are not selling you the house, so you get the honest version, in writing.

What A Pool Inspection Checks

  • Shell condition: cracks, crazing, blistering and worn or failing surface
  • Water loss testing to separate evaporation from a genuine leak
  • Pump, filter, chlorinator and heater condition, age and correct sizing
  • Plumbing under pressure, plus weirs, returns and the light niche
  • The pool DB box, earth leakage and general electrical safety
  • Coping, paving and surrounds, and whether the pool is legally secured

What You Get After The Pool Inspection

A written report with photographs, a plain-language summary of what is wrong, what it will cost to put right, and what is urgent versus what can wait a few seasons.

If the report turns up a leak we can move straight to leak detection, and if the surface is finished we will quote resurfacing so you can take real numbers back to the negotiating table. Phone or WhatsApp 084 483 1774 to book an inspection.

Questions We Get Asked

How long does an inspection take?

Ninety minutes to three hours depending on the pool and whether we need to run water loss tests over a longer period.

Do I get something in writing?

Yes. A photographed report with costed findings, split into urgent and can-wait, which you can use in a negotiation.

Can you inspect a pool I already own?

Often the smartest money you can spend. A baseline report tells you what to budget for over the next few seasons instead of being ambushed.

Do you inspect the safety and electrical side?

Yes. Pool DB box, earth leakage and whether the pool is secured to the standard the law expects.
