What happens on a weekly pool service visit

• Skim the surface and empty the weir and pump baskets
• Vacuum the floor and brush the walls, steps and waterline
• Backwash and rinse the filter when the pressure calls for it
• Test chlorine, pH, alkalinity and stabiliser, and dose accordingly
• Check the pump, chlorinator and timer are actually doing their jobs
• Clear the creepy and check the hose and weir valve
• Flag anything starting to fail, with a photo, before it becomes a call out

You get a note after each visit so you know what was done and where the water sat. No mystery, no vanished technician.

Weekly, fortnightly or seasonal

Weekly is right for most Cape Town pools from October to April, when the sun burns chlorine fast and the southeaster fills the weir with leaves daily. Fortnightly works for a small, sheltered or covered pool, or through the quiet winter months. Plenty of our customers run weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter, and we simply switch the schedule. If you only need someone occasionally, look at once off pool cleaning instead.

What a service plan actually saves you

Chemicals bought in bulk and dosed correctly cost less than panic buying chlorine at the shop every time the pool turns. Beyond that, the real saving is in what does not happen. Pumps do not run dry, filters do not cement solid, marbelite does not get etched by months of low pH, and a pool that never goes green never needs a recovery job. Catching a perishing weir valve or a noisy bearing early is the difference between a small part and a new pump.

Questions we get asked

Do I need to be home?

No, as long as we can get to the pool and the pump. Most of our regulars are at work when we come.

Are chemicals included?

Normal weekly dosing is included in the plan. Big one off corrections like a heavy shock treatment or a stabiliser reset are quoted separately so nobody gets a surprise.

Am I locked into a contract?

No. Month to month, cancel when you want. We would rather keep you because the pool looks good.

What if something breaks?

We tell you what it is, what it costs and what happens if you leave it. Repairs run through our pool repairs and equipment teams, so it is the same people either way.
